My colleague Melanie Baljko at Lassonde Engineering and I created this database for our research project that we recently published. The data is posted on Figshare. The research examined transit agencies’ open data provision, transit agencies’ relationship with developers of transit apps as open data users, and transit apps as open data products in the context of legislated disability regulations in public transportation. Our investigation focused on transit agencies of 50 of the most populous cities in the United States. We collected data from transit agencies websites, open data portals, smartphone app distribution platforms such as Google Play and the App Store, and the open web.
